Meet Cathy

Hi, I'm Cathy, the writer behind NextHairLook.com.

My love of hair grew straight out of my own hair story. Like a lot of women, I've spent way too many hours hunting for new hairstyles, wondering what to try next, testing out different looks, and saving inspo on pinterest for my next salon visit.

That habit is what pushed me to start NextHairLook.

I wanted somewhere to share the ideas and inspiration I pick up along the way. Short cuts, classic bobs, curls, layers, bangs, hair colors, whatever is trending. I love seeing how one new style can change your whole look and leave you feeling like yourself again.

Why I Started NextHairLook

NextHairLook came out of a plain love of writing about hair.

I know how easy it is to scroll through hairstyle photos for an hour and still not know what you want. My whole aim is to make that part easier, pulling the ideas, the explanations, and the inspiration into one place.

I write about the styles that catch my eye, the trends I find interesting, and the ideas that might help you land on your own next look. This blog is part of my own hair story too. As I keep learning and trying things out, I get to pass what I find along to readers who love hair as much as I do.

I try to keep everything approachable, useful, and easy to follow. When a post touches on facts about your hair or scalp, I research solid sources instead of passing off my own experience as expert advice.

I'm not a hairstylist, a dermatologist, or any kind of medical professional. What I share are my own experiences and opinions, meant for inspiration and general info. For anything specific to your hair, scalp, color, or treatments, it is always worth talking to a qualified professional.
